Not Alone

I chose the song Not Alone by Fredy V because I wanted to challenge myself in remixing a song. Granted, I didn't know the song was 6 minutes long, but that just gave me more room to make different variations. For the first verse, I used one midi track and the notes from the bass line, using the alchemy plugin. I manipulated the notes and set the alchemy to the angelic choir. I was trying to make it simple. I wasn’t going for anything complex. For the rewire section, I muted the drums and the guitar and added the percussion and electronic break loops to the chorus. The software I used to create the mix was Ableton Live connected to Logic Pro X. For the last section of the song, I changed the groove to double time with swing time in it at the end. I wanted the drums to be a little more fast-paced and upbeat at the same time.
